Join the Student Christian Movement in exploring Unsettling the Word, an anthology of “biblical experiments in decolonization.” No advance reading necessary, drop in anytime! Vegan and gluten-free snacks will be provided.

Tues, Jan 22 – Grief Support Sharing Circle 5:10-7:30 pm, Rm 418, Faculty of Social Work  Everyone grieves in their own unique way. When someone you love dies, you may feel angry, isolated, sad, guilty and lonely. The Grief Support Sharing Circle is an informal mutual support group for students who have experienced a death, as well as students experiencing anticipatory grief. Wed, Jan 23 – And God Said, “Let There Be Sex”

A timely open discussion of faith and sex-ed. What have we been taught and what haven’t we been taught? In what ways has our sex education been influenced by colonialism, patriarchy, sexism, heterosexism and cissexism? Join in a conversation unpacking how we understand sex through our faith. By ROARS and the Centre for Women and Trans People at U of T.

Come join SCM Canada secretary Peter Haresnape and members of the Graduate Christian Fellowship for a special discussion session on Unsettling the Word and solidarity with Indigenous liberation struggles. Dinner at 6 pm, discussion at 7.
