At the June 2022 annual general meeting, ECUT staff and Board of Directors adopted a new strategic plan for ECUT’s ministry over the next three years, 2022-2025.
The primary purpose of this plan is to establish a Vibrant, Diverse, and Inclusive Christian Community on campus through which students are becoming Deeply Devoted Disciples of Jesus Christ.
Reflecting on the pandemic, we are aware of how lonely and challenging being a university student can be. We believe ECUT is called to meet these challenges by building a community where ALL students are welcomed, embraced, and empowered to grow in faith, hope, and love, and to use their God-given gifts to help make the world a better place. Through relevant and innovative worship and small group ministries, students will grow more fully in their knowledge and love of God, discovering perhaps for the first time, that they too are created in God’s image and deeply loved.
Among other things, this plan highlights the need for increased staff presence on campus – building community takes time, dedicated effort, and commitment. By 2025, ECUT would like to have 1 full time staff at the St. George campus and 2 part-time staff, one at St. George campus and one at the Scarborough campus.
As we launch our Strategic Plan, we are inviting current and past donors, alumni, and friends to sign up as Ministry Partners as a practical way of joining in this important work.
Would you express your support for ECUT by partnering with us? We are asking three things of all our Ministry Partners:
1. Pray for our campus ministry daily.
2. Support our campus ministry financially.
3. Promote our campus ministry within your sphere of influence.
To support ECUT financially, please register your donation through Canada Helps: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/the-ecumenical-chaplaincy-at-the-university-of-toronto/campaign/become-an-ecut-vision-partner/
